A lot of AdB families enjoyed the celebration for Family Day and United Nations held last October 27, 2017 at the Project 6 Tennis Court. The theme was #FamilySquadGoals: AdB Around the World. The event chairpersons Teacher Wendy Cabana and Teacher Maria Isabel Carillo prepared activities which aimed to promote AdB families’ creativity, energetic bodies and healthy relationships.
We had fun on this special day because of the performances, group games, booth games and raffle. Going through each activity made one feel excited to go around the world. The students were ready to show their energy and talent and wore colorful and beautiful costumes. Furthermore, the performances and booth games featured different countries like Brazil, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, India, Spain, Mexico, Scotland, Canada, and South Korea. Then, there was a National Costume Contest for Pre-school, Lower School and Middle School levels. The judges picked the following winners:
Pre-school: Cherr Artur Mychal A. Nicolas (Mr. Japan) & Aeris Amelie S. David (Ms. South Africa)
Lower School: Mikhail Anjelov F. Umandap (Mr. Spain) & Caylieh L. Antonio (Ms. Spain)
Middle School: Joseph Medard S. Ong (Mr. Canada) & Camila Gabrielle C. Lumantao (Ms. South Africa)
Our family was very lucky to have won a special prize, “The Youngest Family Member” and be picked during the raffle. I had fun meeting many kids with their families and playing with them. My classmates and I tried all the game booths to win special prizes. I am excited to experience next year’s family day and the possible activities that await me and my family.
